 START EATING SMALLER PORTIONS TODAY

Let's get realistic, You probably don't have a lot of healthy foods in your pantry right now and it will take you a few days to come up with them. (I am going to give you a meal plan for weight loss) So for now, the first thing that I am going to ask you to do is to start eating smaller portions.

That’s right; try dividing your meals in half.

If you normally eat 4 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, and 2 pieces of toast for breakfast, do the mathematics and divide your meal in half. That means that you will only eat 2 eggs, 1 piece of bacon, and 1 piece of toast for breakfast.

If you go to a fast-food restaurant and order a *hamburger meal, eat half of the hamburger and half of the fries. Then save the rest for later.

You get the picture. Start eating smaller portions.

At this point you may be saying, “But what if I get hungry again?”

If you get hungry again, eat.


But eat half of what you would normally eat. *You might even microwave the leftover hamburger half and soggy fries.

The purpose of all this is not for you to go hungry, to the contrary. I don’t want you to starve to death before you even get started. I just want you to grow accustomed to small frequent meals.

You can eat as many meals as you want to, just keep them small. If you are like most of America’s overweight population, you are accustomed to 2 or 3 large meals a day. Get into the habit of eating 5 or 6 small meals a day.

You need to give your stomach an opportunity to shrink.

Right now, I am not telling you what to eat. Eat what you want, but eat smaller, more frequent meals.

*I am not condoning eating junk food as a diet


You may be asking, “How long should you do this?”

The answer: For the rest of your life.

Well it is a good idea, but we are going to change it up a bit a little later. For now I just want you to give your stomach a chance to acclimate to smaller portions.

A week is an adequate amount of time for this and that should give you enough time to plan out what you are going to do to lose fat.

Now you can start loosing weight today. Eat smaller, more frequent meals a day and I guarantee you will lose weight in a week.

Speed up you metabolism

Without going into a lot of detail. This will help you to speed up your metabolism in addition to shrinking your stomach. In his book, nutrition specialist, Tom Venuto explains several reasons for eating small frequent meals.

You must drink plenty of water daily

You will eat a protein with every meal.

You will eat less carbohydrates and less fat, particularly at night.

You can eat all the vegetables that you desire

This meal plan should be accompanied by 3-5 days of weight training and cardiovascular exercises and activities.

These eating habits are a lifestyle and not just a “diet”.

I don't expect you to cook 5 or 6 small meals daily. There are people who do this and It is a very healthy lifestyle. However you may choose to use a meal replacement drink.

Most Fitness sites will try and sell you a meal replacement package. It is a big money maker for them.

While there are some good meal option products out there, you do not have to spend you money on them. I use a simple protein mix. You can buy protein in powder form in the health section of most stores. It is the same stuff that athletes use. There are many brands (I use "optimum nutrition" brand)

Here's my simple recipe:

Recipe for Meal Replacement Drinks

1 glass light milk or water

1 -2 scoops of whey protein in your favorite flavor

2 teaspoons oatmeal

*Flavor with your choice of strawberries, blueberries, your favorite fruit or even low fat yogurt & blend it all together

Sample Eating Plan for Burning Fat

-Main meal options are in bold

-Drink plenty of water with all meals

Breakfast (meal 1):

-Drink Coffee or Green Tea with all breakfast meal options

- 3 Eggs whites with wheat bread or wheat tortilla (with vegetables optional)

Or-1 Egg, 3 egg whites, 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 banana

Or- Egg omelet with vegetables (or spinach, low fat cheese) & ½ cup grilled potatoes using 1 teaspoon olive oil if desired

Or- Oatmeal with whey protein added

Or- Oatmeal with 1 banana and/or blueberries or 1 teaspoon peanut butter

Or- Cereal 100% Bran/oats de Post, Light Milk & 1 grapefruit

Or- Whole wheat toast with 1 teaspoon peanut butter

Or- Protein Shake



Snack (meal 2):

-Protein shake with oatmeal added (1 glass light milk & 1 scoop protein)

Or-Tuna Sandwich or turkey breast sandwich (whole wheat bread, lettuce, mustard)

Or--celery or carrots with *hummus

You must drink plenty of water daily
